    Technician Resume`

I'm beginning to seriously look for other opportunities. Does anyone have any good tips or examples of technician-specific resumes I can build off of, or should I just stick with a standard format?

Some of you service managers i'm sure could give me some good tips on what you like to see from a prospective tech. Thanks.

Just so you know what you're up against 3 out 5 resumes I get suck so bad I never read more then a few lines. It is a technical resume so keep it simple, I like to see a 1 page cover letter and a 1 page resume, both of these should be on plain paper in a normal average everyday font. feel free to use some bold or italics to highlight dates or other important things. Have your name, address, and phone number on the top of the resume so I can call you if I need/want to. I like some detail in the recent job history but I really don't need the job specifics from your food court job at the mall when you were in high school. An outline style works great, they are easy to follow without getting too crowded on the page. A simple resume without too much fluff will be considered, try to BS me and it hits the circular file.

DO NOT give me a bunch of shit I don't want or need with your resume
DO NOT talk about money before I do
DO NOT itemize every copier class you attended
DO NOT tell me that hiring you will be the greatest thing I have ever done, I can live without you, I already am.
DO NOT get all Jesus on me, don't tell me who I should vote for or who I should sleep with (unless your sister is hot).
DO NOT give me your references, If I want them I will ask

    DO use spell check
    DO spell my name correctly
DO let me know in you cover letter how/when is the best time/way to contact you
DO feel free to call me and ask if i got your resume but don't call me 100 times to beg for an interview.
DO use spell check, yes I know I already said it but you would be surprised.

    Good Luck!

PS If you go on an interview, don't forget to bring a pen, If you ask me for one I will show you the door.
